🏞️ Product Description:
The Bur x English Hybrid Oak combines the rugged adaptability of the native Bur Oak with the legendary longevity and prolific acorn production of the English Oak. This hybrid is known for its consistent heavy acorn crops, delivering a dependable food source year after year.
Its sweet, highly palatable acorns are a top favorite for Whitetail deer and other wildlife, making it an outstanding choice for habitat enhancement and food plot edges.
🍂 Reliable Mast Producer:
Thanks to the influence of the English Oak parent, this hybrid produces large, sweet acorns consistently, reducing the boom-and-bust cycles common in native oaks. The dependable mast crop ensures your property is a magnet for game throughout the fall.
🦌 Wildlife Favorite:
Whitetails and other wildlife actively seek out the sweet acorns of this hybrid, which provide rich nutrition and help sustain animals during critical pre-winter months. The tree’s strong structure also provides excellent cover and shade for game.
🌱 Hardy & Adaptable:
This hybrid thrives in a variety of soil types and conditions, making it a versatile option for landowners aiming to improve their hunting lands or restore native forests. Its vigorous growth and disease resistance contribute to long-term success.
🛠️ Planting Tips:
-
Space 25–35 feet apart for optimal growth and mast production
-
Protect young trees with a Tree Survival Kit for best establishment
-
Ideal near food plots, trails, or bedding areas to maximize wildlife attraction
-
Supplemental watering in the first year helps ensure healthy root development
🐾 Summary:
The Bur x English Hybrid Oak is your go-to tree for steady, sweet acorn production paired with the hardiness of native species and the longevity of English Oak. Perfect for habitat builders wanting a reliable mast tree that keeps deer coming back season after season.

Healthy Trees, On Time!
I placed my first order couple months ago. Everything came on time, order was right, and trees healthy. Everything has leafed out and growing great! Had such a good experience that I placed a second order. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Oak Orchard
I purchased 35 hybrid oak trees from Morse in 2005 and a majority of them are still alive and have been producing acorns for years. One is even big enough to hunt from. I planted them with tree tubes and watered them regularly for the first two years. It has been a pleasure watching them grow.

Great customer service!
I highly recommend Morse Nursery! My trees arrived 100% healthy. I was really impressed by the height of the trees. I expected little trees like I’ve gotten from other nursery’s. Will keep buying from you guys. Great customer service too.
