About Bur x English Oak :
This hybrid has unusually shaped large acorns. The large acorns make this selection a good choice for whitetail food, as they are just too large for game birds. Bur oak is noted for it’s ability to grow where there is lots of weed and grass competition and English oak is noted for it’s ability to grow in heavy clay soils making this hybrid very adaptable to where it can be planted. Bur x English Hybrid is known for having excellent hybrid vigor, resistant to ice and wind breakage and is very cold winter hardy! As with any white oak, acorns are sweet and produced annually.
