🏞️ Product Description:
The Bodacious Bur Hybrid Oak is a bold, fast-growing hybrid that combines the rugged Bur Oak with the moisture-loving Swamp White Oak, resulting in a powerhouse of a tree that thrives in heavier soils and produces massive, berry-sized acorns. If you’re looking for serious mast production and a tree that can handle wetter areas, this hybrid is a standout.
Not only does it offer impressive acorn volume and size, but it also delivers excellent wildlife value, adaptability, and visual presence on the landscape.
💥 Big Acorns, Big Impact:
Why settle for tiny acorns when you can get jaw-dropping jumbo mast? The Bodacious Bur Hybrid Oak lives up to its name by producing some of the largest acorns of any oak, making it a premium choice for wildlife attraction and food plot borders.
These acorns typically drop from October into early November, helping to pull deer in during the heart of hunting season.
🌊 Thrives in Wetter Soils:
One of this tree’s best features is its ability to tolerate wetter, heavier ground that many oaks struggle in. It's ideal for low spots, bottomland edges, creek lines, or anywhere soil stays damp longer into the growing season.
🦌 Loaded with Wildlife Appeal:
The massive acorns are a favorite of deer, turkeys, squirrels, and more—offering high-fat, high-energy nutrition during fall’s most critical months. It’s a wildlife magnet with visual punch.
🌱 Built Tough, Grows Strong:
Thanks to hybrid vigor, this oak grows with increased disease resistance and faster establishment than pure species. The broad canopy and strong root system make it a great long-term performer for habitat improvement.
🛠️ Planting Tips:
-
Best suited for low-lying or moisture-retaining sites
-
Space 30–40 ft apart for mature canopy development
-
For best acorn yield, plant in groups or with other white oak family members
-
Protect young trees with Tree Survival Kits to boost success in the early years
-
Water during dry spells in year one for best establishment
🐾 Summary:
The Bodacious Bur Hybrid Oak is all about high-volume, high-value mast in places most oaks won’t thrive. With its massive acorns, moisture tolerance, and bold growth, this tree is a no-brainer for land managers, hunters, and habitat builders who want more from their oak investment.
Big nuts. Big attraction. Bodacious performance.

Healthy Trees, On Time!
I placed my first order couple months ago. Everything came on time, order was right, and trees healthy. Everything has leafed out and growing great! Had such a good experience that I placed a second order. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Oak Orchard
I purchased 35 hybrid oak trees from Morse in 2005 and a majority of them are still alive and have been producing acorns for years. One is even big enough to hunt from. I planted them with tree tubes and watered them regularly for the first two years. It has been a pleasure watching them grow.

Great customer service!
I highly recommend Morse Nursery! My trees arrived 100% healthy. I was really impressed by the height of the trees. I expected little trees like I’ve gotten from other nursery’s. Will keep buying from you guys. Great customer service too.
