🏞️ Product Description:
The Big Morse Crabapple is a large-fruited crabapple variety known for its impressive apples, which can grow up to 2 inches in diameter. The fruit offers a sweet flavor balanced with the classic slight astringency of crabapples, making it a favorite for wildlife and a valuable addition to food plots and habitat plantings.
Its abundant fruit drop in early fall provides a timely, energy-rich food source for deer, turkeys, squirrels, and numerous other wildlife species as they prepare for winter.
🦌 Perfect for Hunting Properties:
The Big Morse Crabapple is a key component for wildlife nutrition and cover:
🍽️ Heavy Soft Mast Producer:
Large, flavorful apples drop from September through October, attracting and sustaining a variety of game and non-game animals during a critical feeding period.
🌾 Wildlife Cover and Attraction:
This medium-sized tree offers excellent browsing and roosting opportunities for birds and small mammals, while its dense branching provides shelter and escape cover.
🦃 Pollinator and Game Bird Support:
In spring, its blossoms attract native pollinators, setting the stage for a robust fruit crop that upland birds and mammals rely on.
🌱 Easy to Grow and Maintain:
Adaptable to a wide range of soils and conditions, Big Morse Crabapple is relatively low-maintenance once established, making it an ideal tree for both novice and experienced landowners.
🛠️ Planting Tips:
-
Plant multiple trees for best pollination and fruit set
-
Space trees 15–20 feet apart to allow mature growth and airflow
-
Protect young trees with a Tree Survival Kit to improve establishment

Healthy Trees, On Time!
I placed my first order couple months ago. Everything came on time, order was right, and trees healthy. Everything has leafed out and growing great! Had such a good experience that I placed a second order. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Oak Orchard
I purchased 35 hybrid oak trees from Morse in 2005 and a majority of them are still alive and have been producing acorns for years. One is even big enough to hunt from. I planted them with tree tubes and watered them regularly for the first two years. It has been a pleasure watching them grow.

Great customer service!
I highly recommend Morse Nursery! My trees arrived 100% healthy. I was really impressed by the height of the trees. I expected little trees like I’ve gotten from other nursery’s. Will keep buying from you guys. Great customer service too.
